- Strongly recommends New Hope Compassionate Ministries as a consistent food source in Anchorage. Weekly food delivery for individuals who are elderly, disabled, homebound, ill, or facing temporary hardship that prevents them from attending the weekly food market. Call 907-274-4673 on Wednesdays between 10am–1pm. Calls outside this window will not be returned, and you must speak with someone directly to confirm. Clients can either get delivery, shop, or grab a box. No questions asked. No ID required.

A few notes from Food Bank:
don't send people to food bank warehouse. they only receive donations there. the food distribution agencies load up there -- not the general public
Food bank is getting money from the state to purchase more food for people. will keep agencies stocked with food
thanksgiving blessing. flyer on website. monday before thanksgiving. valley is saturday before thanksgiving. 5 locations
Doesn't know about other orgs doing cash to families, but will try to find out from their SNAP team
food banks is shipping food out to hub communities and smaller communities - moreso those impacted by disaster
