Support for Family of William and Adam Rexford

Native Movement mourns the tragic loss of William Rexford who was shot and killed in his home on January 1, 2026, by Alaska State Troopers. He was only 24 years old. William's older brother Adam, an innocent bystander, was also shot and seriously injured. Adam is currently in Seattle undergoing medical treatment. William and Adam are both Iñupiaq men. William was experiencing a mental health crisis and this never should have happened. Legislators must take action to ensure the safety of all Alaskans.

No one should ever fear for their life if they are in need of help. We stand with the Rexford family during this difficult time and our hearts go out to them.
