Join Us at Climate Week in so-called New York on Lenape lands, September 19-27 as we gather with allies and partners for a week of strategizing to stop the bad and build the good, featuring panel discussions and an evening reception curated by Arctic Indigenous peoples!
Indigenous peoples from across the circumpolar Arctic will speak on the impacts of climate change, extraction, cultural wellbeing, and interconnection with one another and our lands. Climate Week NYC is organized by Climate Group, an international non profit that convenes leaders across business and government. In coordination with the UN General Assembly, the event “brings together decision-makers and experts shaping capital, policy and markets across sectors and regions.”

The most powerful protectors of place are those that have been in reciprocal relationship with the lands and waters for thousands of years. Stories embedded with traditional knowledge, Indigenous languages, untold histories and perspectives are the drivers of narrative change because they originate from the heart. These storytellers from the Arctic have been amplifying the ways in which Indigenous values can help restore, rematriate, and innovate ways in which we can safeguard our Mother Earth.
